Instructions to setup an advanced third party for rating and booking in MyCarrier

What is an Advanced Third Party?

  • The Advanced Third Party setup is an additional setup that allows for third party shipments to be booked under your Billing account number.


Why is the Advanced Third Party setup needed?

  • Some carriers require a Billing account number when rating and booking third party shipments. To integrate the carrier with your billing account number, the advanced third party setup must be completed.

Advanced Third Party Setup

  1. Navigate to the top left corner of your MyCarrier account and click 'Company Settings'

  2. Click 'ENABLE THIRD PARTY'

  3. Select the applicable location in the drop-down and click 'Confirm'

  4. Your account is now enabled to quote a third party and we will attempt to retrieve rates from the account number tied to the shipping location that was selected in the drop down when enabling a third party on step 2.

Advanced Setup

  1. Select 'Advanced Setup' and 'Continue'

  2. Complete the location details another time. Enter your billing location details and select 'Save & Continue' in the bottom right

  3. You may now integrate carriers into your MyCarrier account
